Mölnlycke breaks ground for its new headquarters at GoCo Health Innovation City
Today, Mölnlycke joins the groundbreaking ceremony marking the start of construction for their future headquarters at GoCo Health Innovation City. “This is both a historic and strategic step to ensure that Mölnlycke continues to lead the way in driving and shaping the future of healthcare,” says CEO Zlatko Rihter.
Mölnlycke will move into its new headquarters in Mölndal by the end of 2024. Spanning a total area of 16,000 sqm, the future site shall be located in one of GoCo's best locations, with space for around 800 employees. The new workspace is designed for increased flexibility adapted for the employees' different needs for collaboration, social interaction, and deep focus work on both an individual and project basis.
"Mölnlycke is already a fantastic workplace, where we as a company and our employees make a real difference in many people’s daily quality of life. At GoCo, we envision an inspiring physical workspace to fully support our efforts to take Mölnlycke, our customers, and our own well-being to new heights,” says Kristin Hedlund, Mölnlycke’s EVP Legal, General Counsel and HQ Site Manager.
GoCo Health Innovation City is a health and life science district in Mölndal uniting companies, researchers, entrepreneurs and talents from around the world, to discover the next generation of health innovations.
“I strongly believe that moving forward, GoCo will be one of the global hotspots for health innovation. It will attract both local and global talents, and become a true magnet for the whole Gothenburg region. Mölnlycke has a strong history of growth and our presence at GoCo will increase our opportunities to continue that journey,” says Mölnlycke’s CEO Zlatko Rihter.
Mölnlycke will take on the role of founding partner, meaning that the company will be an active participant in developing GoCo Health Innovation City.
“It is with great pleasure that we take a step closer to realising Mölnlycke's future workplace, a new meeting place which both employees and visitors will enjoy. We also look forward to seeing Mölnlycke become part of GoCo and together with other actors in the area, contribute to health innovation and new solutions to global health challenges," says Joel Ambré, CEO Vectura and Head of GoCo Health Innovation City.
