Mölnlycke announces price increases
Despite the fact that Mölnlycke has introduced a number of measures, the current global macro-economic challenges are now forcing us to raise prices. However, in our approach we will be mindful and take our different businesses and local market conditions into account, to minimise the impact on customer relationships.
The last two years have seen severe supply chain disruptions, unprecedented rises in the price of raw materials, energy and freight and increasing uncertainty due to the Ukraine crisis. Trading conditions have dramatically changed, and companies across the globe are facing substantial macro-economic consequences, including inflation.
Mölnlycke has dedicated considerable efforts to maintaining the delivery of high quality support to our customers and to securing healthcare supply during these difficult times. We have taken countermeasures to increase productivity, manage our cost base and continue to create value for our customers. However, we have been unable to compensate the immense cost increase, and are now announcing price increases across all business areas.
Zlatko Rihter, CEO Mölnlycke commented: 'The price increase decision hasn’t been taken lightly. However, given the fact that we don’t expect these macro-economic challenges to decrease in near term, we are now forced to increase prices.'
