Empowering patients to support delivering value
At the heart of the concept of “patient engagement” is asking new questions, and posing them to patients themselves. One shift is the move from asking, 'What is the matter?' to asking, 'What matters to you?' And the answers to this question underpin how value is derived from patient engagement.
This webinar, guided by Molnlycke Health Care’s resident health economics experts, Mark Olmstead and Gerhard Bothma, defines patient engagement and outlines how patients can be empowered to support delivering and maximizing value.
The webinar will cover:
- How patients can ultimately determine value in care
- How optimized patient engagement can help to deliver more value
- Five key issues to consider when engaging patients for more value
Gerhard Bothma
Gerhard started his career in medical devices and health economics in South Africa, running projects and activities across a variety of device categories, including four years within an advanced wound care business. He then moved to Dubai and later to Switzerland, expanding his experience in health economics across both different device categories as well as different countries within Europe, Middle East and Africa. Currently, he is the Global Director for Health Economics and Governmental Affairs for Mölnlycke and lives and work in Sweden.
