When the Swedish healthcare needed help, they both stepped in.
Tina’s story
Tina Westerberg works at Teknikum as an Associate Concept Developer within R&D. ´Teknikum is our conceptual workshop where we test and make prototypes of our future products´, she says.
From 23 December, Tina helped at the Virology department at Sahlgrenska university hospital in Gothenburg for three weeks, piping test fluids into special test tubes and registering Covid-test results in their database, among other tasks. ‘It reminded me of my time as a Biomedical analyst´, Tina recalls.
So what was the experience like for Tina? ‘It has been fantastic in so many ways. But occasionally challenging. You mustn’t give up, even though it feels impossible to just get in contact with the right person.’
Daniel’s story
With a background as a clinical nurse in Hong Kong SAR, Daniel Tsang knows what it’s like to help patients face to face. At Mölnlycke, Daniel’s job is to analyse data from studies and information about how our products are used to explore the performance and safety of our solutions. ´In order to improve and develop our products, we need to have solid understand of how they behave in the real world by leveraging the power of data analytics, ´ Daniel says.
In early February, Daniel helped at a Covid-testing unit at Mölndal Hospital in Gothenburg. Many clinicians came to be tested during the first hectic week. Things calmed down a bit after the vaccine was offered to the staff.
´I really felt that I was part of something through this experience and it wouldn´t been possible without the support from my family and from Mölnlycke. It´s just not me, we have all made this possible together, ´ Daniel ends.
