We have a positive impact
To be sustainable, we must make a difference to the world around us. That’s what we believe.
We invest in the communities where we operate so that we remain a trusted partner over the long term.
We feel a strong sense of commitment to both the medical profession and patients receiving treatment. We have chosen to support Operation Smile and Debra as our global charity partners and at a local level. We share common ambitions and areas of expertise with them – which ensures our time, money and products are focused in the most effective and valuable way.
Operation Smile and Debra are the global charities that we support. We also support local charities that share our goal of improving healthcare outcomes if they meet our guidelines.
By donating time, products and funds, we can help improve the lives of patients and support those who care for them. Working within the community in this way also enables our business and the organizations we support to remain sustainable.
'With Operation Smile, Mölnlycke volunteers give time, attention to detail and comfort to the children going through an operation. The children we help will remember this every day of their lives.’
Anette Spottag, 2016 Mölnlycke Operation Smile volunteer
Our policy on local community support
Our community support policy is designed to help us play an active role in the community. We receive many requests for donations to good causes at a local level and we cannot support all of them.
We have guidelines that ensure our community support is appropriate. The organizations we support should:
- be in the medical field
- work to improve patients’ lives, to improve medical staff protection, or to increase the level of knowledge in the medical field
- provide credible and measurable results
The initiatives we support must also be line with Advamed or Eucomed guidance.
Sustainability report
Every year, our sustainability report looks at the impact of our business, products and productions on our people, the environment, our suppliers and the communities where we operate.
